Got a dog or folding bike, or both?

Dogs, sleeping bag storage and folding bikes.

Here at Wheelhome we understand a lot of folk have a little dog or maybe a folding bike they wish to take on their adventures.
However, in a little campervan these can sadly get under our feet a bit! And having somewhere out of the way to store a
sleeping bag and pillow is very rare.
We have therefore, designed the Vikenze III-e with
some rather innovative solutions, especially for solo travellers.
Nearside front cab seat in travelling position

When travelling solo you can fold the seat forwards and down to create a horizontal platform 880mm long x 580mm wide. You can now choose what you wish to put there;

We offer a removable upholstered “stuff bag” that will accommodate a sleeping bag and pillow.  When empty (as seen) this bag is virtually flat and so can remain on the back of the seat even when being used as a seat. With the bag in place, we still have a flat space remaining about 410mm long x 580mm wide onto which you can place a smallish dog bed/crate.  You can also choose to have our two super-convenient recessed rubbish bin and laundry bin – and you don’t normally get that do you!  The rubbish bin has a 10 litre plastic bag underneath it whilst the laundry bin has a larger purpose-made washable bag.  That’s pretty convenient, isn’t it?

Also visible is the fridge, access to which is unhindered.

You can fit a smallish dog crate here so your pooch can see you and no doubt feel relaxed as being so close to you.  Especially beneficial to nervous dogs, we think.  Seat belt goes around the crate and/or we can fit additional straps, depending on your requirements.

Stuff bag shown “stuffed” with sleeping bag and one pillow!

The centre consol conveniently provides two cup holders and two mobile phone recesses conveniently positioned with a charge cable.

Or how about a bit of luxury, for the ultimate in doggy comfort!

For reference, Isla is a little Shetland Sheepdog approx 14″ high to her shoulders.

If you have a “full-size” dog such as a Labrador or Cocker Spaniel perhaps, then you’ll need a larger crate that will then fit length-ways – but you’ll need to forfeit the bedding stuff bag.  There is room on the floor in the back also, if you prefer.

Shown here is our folding Brompton E bike (shown without its protection bag). If you wish to carry your bike here we can fit appropriate securing points.  You can charge your E bike from the inverter, so in effect from the sun!
