We are currently in the South of France filming for a new in-depth video of the Dashaway eCT, expected to publish late November 2025.
The Dashaway eCT (electric Camper Trail) from £26,225 is a compact new type of Camper Trailer with super-fast set-up time. With it’s elevating roof, kitchen and toilet facilities along with a two-seat sofa, we think of it as a Wheelhome Campervan that you tow. The Dashaway eCT is fully self-supporting and does not require any pegging-out, so it is fully functioning even when used on a hard-standing (including over-night stops). It’s footprint remains unchanged on-site unless you go for the optional awning.
Dashaway eCT is a very lightweight (from 340kg) one or two berth towable camper that has been designed to be easily handled by one person and towed by petrol, diesel, hybrid or electric cars.
The two-minute setting-up process involves lowering the two rear steadies and turning a handle which raises the elevating roof, with gas struts doing all the heavy lifting. With the roof raised and locked in place with two support poles, we have room and facilities inside similar to a compact campervan for two people to sit and relax comfortably on the sofa and sleep in a large double bed – plus the Porta Potti remains accessible, even with the bed in place (or put it outside in the optional rear awning).
The bed can also be made up as a single, whilst solo travellers may prefer the seating to be 2/3rds wide and 1/3rd giving a very wide single bed (ie 2/3rds). Whichever format you choose, your bedding travels on top of the bed (so you don’t need to transfer it from the car) when on the road and completely out of the way under the front shelf, when on site, ready for convenient deployment at bed time.
The Dashaway eCT has campsite mains hook-up with very large Lithium batteries and a 2600w inverter supplying 230v so you can cook using domestic 3-pin appliances such as microwave, induction hob, oven, air fryer, kettle etc. in fact any 230v appliance up to 2600watts. A very large 200watt solar panel is standard, too.
Sink with drainer and internal electrically pumped 10 litre water supply are found in a rear kitchen unit. The Dashaway eCT has a large “mid-ships” under-floor locker, accessed from inside which houses the batteries and inverter, and an 18 litre compressor fridge, leaving very generous storage for clothes and food etc. An optional forward “belly” locker is available offering 170 litres of space, accessed from the outside.
In it’s standard form the Dashaway eCT weighs just 340kgs and can supply sufficient power for two + nights of off-grid living.
Key optional extras include: Additional battery for even more days off-grid, if required.
Probably the quickest and easiest awning you’ve ever seen! Bespoke Dashaway eCT rear awning deploys on a hoop system to give approx 1.6m x 1.6m which is perfect to sit out in, or for the Porta Potti at nighttime. The awning can also accommodate an additional kitchen worktop so you can cook in the awning if you wish.
